Merchandiser | Fast-Growing Online Homewares Brand | Manchester

Location: Manchester (office-based)

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + benefits

Reporting to: Head of Merchandising

About the Role

We're partnering with a rapidly growing online homewares brand based in Manchester to find a talented Merchandiser to join their team. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of growth, working closely with a highly respected Head of Merchandising who is passionate about developing talent. The role offers genuine scope for progression as the business - and the team - continues to scale.

You'll be joining a fast-paced, hands-on environment where no two days look the same. This role suits someone who thrives on pace, enjoys rolling their sleeves up, and wants real ownership and visibility within a growing brand.

The Role

As Merchandiser, you'll play a key role in driving the trading performance of your category, working closely with Buying, Planning, and the wider commercial team to maximise sales and profitability.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing intake, stock flow and availability across your product categories, ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time
  • Building and maintaining accurate sales, stock and intake plans in line with commercial targets
  • Analysing weekly and seasonal trade, identifying opportunities and risks, and recommending action
  • Working closely with the Head of Merchandising and Buying team to inform range planning and future strategy
  • Managing markdown and promotional planning to optimise stock and margin
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth end-to-end product flow
  • Producing clear, accurate reporting to support trading decisions across the business

About You

  • Proven experience as a Merchandiser (or strong experience as a Junior Merchandiser ready for the next step)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into clear commercial actions
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities at pace
  • A proactive, hands-on approach - comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
  • Confident communicator, able to build strong relationships across buying, planning and the wider business
  • Advanced Excel skills
