About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Merchandiser to join our Commercial team based in Accrington. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring our product ranges are effectively planned, managed, and delivered to meet customer demand across both stores and online channels.
Working closely with Buying, Marketing, Supply Chain, and other key stakeholders, you will be responsible for driving product performance, maintaining availability, analysing market trends, and contributing to the development of successful product ranges.
Location: Accrington (The Globe)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise product availability across assigned categories.
- Produce accurate forecasts for UK and overseas suppliers.
- Work collaboratively with Buying teams to ensure forecast demand aligns with product lead times.
- Monitor range performance and stock levels, identifying opportunities and risks.
- Deliver regular reporting and commercial analysis to support business decisions.
- Support the planning, launch, and ongoing management of product ranges.
- Conduct category and range reviews, making recommendations for new and discontinued products.
- Partner with Marketing and wider business teams to communicate product updates and support trading activity.
- Review existing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
- Lead and develop direct reports, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Merchandising role within a retail or commercial environment.
- Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
- Excellent numerical ability with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to interpret data and make commercially driven recommendations.
- Experience using merchandising, planning, or stock management systems.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
