Job Title: Merchandising and Buying Development Programme (2027)

Location: Watford

Department: Merchandising

Role: Allocation Analyst

Start Date: February or July 2027

About The Program

Join our Merchandising and Buying Development Programme (MBDP) and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. From day one, you’ll make real commercial decisions, develop analytical skills, and learn how Merchandising and Buying work together to deliver value to our customers. You’ll build strong relationships across the business and gain exposure to multiple product areas, giving you the skills and experience to thrive in a dynamic retail market.

The Programme has two intakes: February or July 2027. When applying, please indicate your preferred intake, or select both.

What You’ll Do

  • Kick-Start Your Career in Merchandising at our European Head Office with a 12-week induction and training program, gaining a full understanding of our business and the fundamental partnership between Merchandising and Buying.
  • Take on the role of an Allocation Analyst, managing product distribution across stores for your department - anything from Men’s T-Shirts to Toys - whilst working closely with Buyers on what they have bought.
  • Develop analytical skills by analysing sales trends, inventory levels, and demand forecasts, while building your commercial skills through spending time in both our stores and the competition.
