Job Description
The Role:
The Merchandising Manager (EMEA & US) plays a pivotal role in driving regional product strategy and commercial performance across De Beers London’s owned boutiques and wholesale channels. Responsible for translating global merchandising guidelines into actionable regional plans, the role oversees assortment planning, inventory optimisation, and category performance to ensure alignment with market demand and brand objectives. By closely monitoring sales trends, customer insights, and stock movements, the Merchandising Manager ensures that the right products are available in the right locations at the right time. The role works in close partnership with central merchandising, commercial, supply chain, and visual merchandising teams to maintain brand integrity while responding to market needs. Success in this role requires a strategic and analytical mindset, strong commercial acumen, and a commitment to delivering excellence across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
- Shape and execute regional merchandising strategies that reflect commercial priorities, market dynamics, and global brand direction.
- Manage product assortments and inventory levels across owned boutiques and wholesale partners to ensure availability, balance, and performance.
- Analyse sales trends, customer insights, and category performance to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with central merchandising, commercial, supply chain, and visual merchandising teams to ensure cohesive execution across all channels.
- Support wholesale and franchise partners with assortment planning and performance optimisation in line with brand and business objectives.
- Contribute to boutique openings, seasonal campaigns, and product launches by aligning merchandising plans with client expectations and brand standards.
- Provide clear and actionable reporting to senior leadership, tracking key performance indicators and supporting strategic reviews.
- Demonstrate flexibility by supporting central merchandising initiatives and priorities as needed, ensuring alignment and responsiveness across global and regional teams.

Qualifications
Who You Are
- Proven experience in merchandising with a strong understanding of product strategy, inventory planning, and performance analysis across retail and wholesale channels. Experience in the luxury, jewellery sector is a plus but not essential.
- Commercially minded and data-driven, with the ability to interpret sales trends, customer insights, and market dynamics to inform decision-making and optimise assortments.
- Continuously seek opportunities to refine assortments and improve product performance through data-led insights, balancing commercial impact with brand integrity.
- Skilled in managing product lifecycles and stock flow, ensuring the right products are available in the right locations at the right time.
- Collaborative and communicative, with a proven ability to work cross-functionally with global central head office teams.
- Structured and detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in merchandising tools and reporting platforms.
- Flexible and responsive, able to support central merchandising initiatives and adapt to evolving business priorities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment, balancing global brand standards with regional market needs.
- Culturally aware and client-focused, with an appreciation for the emotional and symbolic value of fine jewellery and the expectations of luxury clientele.
- Able to balance creativity with commercial pragmatism, ensuring assortments reflect both brand storytelling and business performance.
- Discreet and professional, with a high level of integrity when handling sensitive product, client, and commercial information.
- Passionate about product and brand, with a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, heritage, and innovation.
- International mindset and cultural sensitivity, with the ability to work effectively across global teams and markets.
- Fluent in French and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
