Background
SI Global is a corporate finance advisory firm that helps stakeholders to build better businesses and realise value.
Working with companies primarily in the marketing & business services, media & entertainment and technology sectors, we operate across Europe, Asia and North America.
We are hiring an Analyst to join our London team.
Our commitment to the Analyst
Our objective is to recruit an energetic and dynamic Analyst to support the team in producing and actioning client deliverables. In exchange, we are offering a broad experience with a structured development plan, within an entrepreneurial and friendly work environment.
This will involve:
- Experience across both the consulting and corporate finance elements of the business, supporting the client-facing team with tasks such as:
- Consulting: developing strategic options / senior team remuneration / profit improvement programmes.
- Corporate finance (buy-side and sell-side): developing acquisition strategy / preparing a business for sale / creating a CIM / engaging acquirers and developing a pitch / buy-side deal origination and target identification / sell-side deal origination, acquirer discovery and research / deal structuring, negotiation and preparing a business for sale (buy & sell) / modelling deal structures and sensitivity analysis (buy & sell) / negotiation / supporting businesses through due diligence.
- Supporting the wider business, such as the business development, research and marketing teams.
- A mixture of structured and on-the-job training in the skills and competences required, including financial analysis, accounting and modelling, and report writing, Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
- Allocation of a direct line manager / mentor to support you throughout your time in the business, with responsibility for your development and ensuring your time at SI is a mutual success.

Key roles: Corporate finance
- Support the preparation of marketing materials, including evaluate and summarise financial performance, company positioning, growth plan, etc.
- Support production of long list of potential acquirers.
- Prepare and maintain weekly status reports for the client, documenting actions and next steps.
- Assist with the modelling of offers as they are received and help prepare written step by step explanations for the client, highlighting the variables that impact on risk, value and commitment.
- Support modelling of performance scenarios / sensitivity analysis.
- Support management of the due diligence process.
- Support preparation and maintenance of detailed proceeds model showing the flow of funds at completion and over the course of any earn-out.
Key roles: Consultancy
- Support on various consultancy projects such as strategic options reviews, senior team incentives programmes, roles & responsibilities workshops and profit improvement programmes.
- Analysis of financial information and evaluation of performance.
- Modelling of growth forecasts, incentive plans, illustrative deal models.
- Preparation of PowerPoint report summarising key findings and recommendations.

Requirements
The successful candidate should be a confident individual, with exceptional financial and analytical skills. They must be able to communicate clearly, with strong written and presentational skills, and be personable, with the ability to create a rapport within the team and with clients.
This is a varied role, where two days are never the same, so we need someone who is a great ‘all-rounder’. The candidate will need to have a 'can-do' attitude and ability to use their initiative. Good teamwork is essential.
Competences
- Extremely motivated and reliable individual with strong team spirit.
- A very well organised person with good attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree, minimum 2:1, ideally in a Business/Accounting based course with strong performance in financial/accounting modules.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong technical and analytical skills with an extremely good command of MS Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge and interest in finance.
- Ideally an active interest in the marketing, media and technology sectors.
- Right to work in the UK.
