Assistant Manager - M&A / Corporate Finance
An ambitious and growing Corporate Finance advisory firm is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Birmingham team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven corporate finance professional looking to gain exposure to a broad range of mid-market M&A transactions while progressing their career within a highly entrepreneurial environment.
Role Overview
Working directly with experienced Partners and Directors, you will play a key role in delivering lead advisory mandates across a diverse client base, including owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs, private equity-backed companies, and corporate clients.

Responsibilities
- Supporting the execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions.
- Preparing information memoranda, financial analyses, valuations, and marketing materials.
- Conducting market research and identifying potential acquirers and targets.
- Managing due diligence processes and coordinating with legal, tax, and other advisors.
- Building and maintaining financial models.
- Assisting in the preparation of client presentations and pitch materials.
- Developing relationships with clients, introducers, and other stakeholders.
- Supporting business development activities and networking initiatives.
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.

Requirements
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- Experience gained within Corporate Finance, M&A, Transaction Services, Lead Advisory, Audit, or a related advisory environment.
- Strong financial analysis and modelling capabilities.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
