M&A Associate Opportunity
Angove is working with a market-leading insurance firm specialising in innovative risk management and insurance solutions for complex corporate transactions. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking an M&A Associate to join the team and play a key role in supporting the development and execution of tailored insurance solutions across the M&A market.
As an M&A Associate you will work closely with brokers, insurers, legal advisors, financial sponsors, and corporate clients to assess transaction risks and structure appropriate insurance solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for an M&A professional looking to leverage their transactional experience within the dynamic and growing insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and analyse risks associated with M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, and other complex financial arrangements
- Review and analyse transaction documentation, due diligence reports, financial statements, and legal agreements to identify key areas of risk
- Work closely with brokers, legal counsel, insurers, and clients to develop tailored insurance solutions for complex transactions
- Support the structuring, negotiation, and execution of insurance policies in connection with M&A transactions
- Develop a strong understanding of the transactional insurance market, including emerging risks, market trends, and insurer appetite
- Assist with negotiations around policy terms, conditions, exclusions, and pricing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including law firms, private equity firms, corporate clients, advisors, and insurers
- Support senior team members in originating new opportunities and growing the firm's M&A insurance portfolio

Ideal Candidate Profile

- Experience in M&A, corporate law, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or a related field
- Ideally 1 - 5 years PQE working on M&A or other complex corporate transactions
- Strong understanding of M&A processes, transaction documentation, due diligence, and deal structures
- Ability to analyse complex information, identify key risks, and communicate findings clearly
- Strong commercial awareness and an interest in financial markets and the insurance sector
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with lawyers, advisors, insurers, and clients
