M&A Manager | PE-Backed High-Growth AI Disruptor

The Opportunity
We are partnering with a PE-backed, high-growth AI-enabled disruptor that is redefining a large, fragmented market through a technology-led buy-and-build strategy. Backed by leading investors and experiencing rapid growth, the business is combining acquisitive expansion with cutting-edge technology to build a category-leading platform.
As part of its next phase of growth, the company is looking to hire an M&A Manager to join a high-performing corporate development team at the centre of the organisation's expansion strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and screen potential acquisition opportunities, identifying strategic fit and analysing commercial and financial merits.
- Develop robust financial models, valuation analyses and business cases to support investment and acquisition decisions.
- Take ownership of transaction workstreams, helping drive deals from origination and initial evaluation through diligence and execution.
- Work closely with external advisers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient progression of live transactions.
- Assist with capital raising activities, investor engagement and wider strategic growth initiatives.
- Prepare clear, insightful presentations and investment materials for senior management, boards and investors.
- Support acquisition integration planning, ensuring a smooth transition from transaction completion into execution.
- Continuously improve deal processes by leveraging technology, automation and data-driven decision-making.
- Operate effectively across multiple concurrent projects within a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.

Candidate Profile
We are seeking ambitious professionals with c.5-8 years of experience who are motivated by challenging, high-growth environments and enjoy working at pace.
Typical backgrounds may include:
- Private Equity Associate, Senior Associate, Investment Manager or equivalent investing roles.
- Experience investing in technology, software or digitally-enabled businesses is advantageous, but not a prerequisite.
- M&A or Investment Banking professionals looking to move closer to value creation and principal investing.
- Corporate Development, Strategy or M&A professionals from active buy-and-build platforms with a strong acquisition track record.

Required Experience & Skills
- Advanced financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrable exposure to M&A, investments, strategic transactions or complex corporate finance projects.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate business quality, growth potential and value creation opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders, management teams and advisers.
- Self-starter mentality with a proactive, intellectually curious approach to problem solving.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and consistently deliver in a deadline-driven environment.
- Interest in AI, technology and the application of data-driven tools to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Highly motivated individual who thrives in entrepreneurial, rapidly scaling organisations.
