M&A Manager Opportunity - PE backed Industrial Services

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Identifying, sourcing, and evaluating M&A and other investment opportunities that are aligned to the strategic direction of the client
  • The execution of Corporate Strategy through transactional expertise, including valuation, process design and project management, advisor selection, deal structuring, and negotiation
  • Project managing M&A deals to ensure that due diligence projects are executed effectively and efficiently
  • Engaging with targets and maintaining strong relationships with companies and teams of interest
  • Undertake financial reviews, investment appraisals, putting business proposals together, and providing recommendations
  • Undertake financial due diligence on acquisition targets and other projects, including the gathering and presentation of data, management of data rooms, due diligence, and supporting the wider sale processes
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships and regular communication with the leadership team
  • Partnering with operational teams to support a successful handover process to the post-deal integration phase

  • ACA, ACCA, CFA, MBA, or similar qualification
  • Previous M&A advisory experience (such as investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or transaction services)
  • Demonstrable experience of undertaking due diligence activities
  • Proven transaction experience, with a track record of project managing transactions
  • Strong analytical skills, including detailed financial modelling capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of the valuation approaches
  • Able to master the fine detail, whilst maintaining a clear ‘bigger-picture’ strategic and commercial perspective
  • Sound business acumen and judgment in areas of risk and uncertainty
  • Ability to analyse and communicate, clearly and succinctly
  • Excellent skills across the entire MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent data analysis and interrogation skills and experience
