MES Solution Architect - Contract - Hybrid
Purpose
Provide specialist expertise in manufacturing operations and shop-floor technology to assess how factory and production activities can be digitally enabled and integrated with wider enterprise processes. The role will focus on how the technology ecosystem fits together rather than how the manufacturing process operates day-to-day. Experience in a core manufacturing organisation is essential integrated with core ERP systems is essential
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the current manufacturing systems landscape and architecture.
- Define future-state manufacturing technology architecture.
- Develop integration architecture between:
- MES
- ERP
- PLM
- BIM / Digital Engineering
- Warehouse & Logistics systems
- Quality Management platforms
- Analytics and Data platforms
- Define architecture principles, standards and governance.
- Support technology selection and solution design.
- Develop architecture roadmaps and transition states.
- Identify risks, dependencies and integration challenges.

Experience Required
- MES architecture leadership within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong integration and solution architecture experience.
- Experience with platforms such as:
- Siemens Opcenter
- AVEVA
- SAP Digital Manufacturing
- Knowledge of:
- ISA-95
- Industry 4.0
- OT/IT integration
- Cloud and enterprise integration architectures.
- Enterprise and Solution Architecture Experience.
