Job Title: MET / Panel Technician

Location: Redruth
Salary: £20 - £24 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday

About the Role

Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy bodyshop in Redruth, and they are currently looking for an experienced MET / Panel Technician to join their growing team.

This role will involve a combination of mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) work alongside vehicle body and panel repairs, helping to return accident-damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician with experience across both MET and panel work, looking for competitive hourly rates, long-term stability and the opportunity to develop their career within a professional bodyshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out MET and panel repairs on a range of accident-damaged vehicles
  • Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components
  • Repair, replace and align damaged body panels
  • Carry out stripping and refitting work as required
  • Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods
  • Carry out welding and structural repairs where required
  • Work closely with other bodyshop technicians throughout the repair process
  • Ensure all repairs are completed safely and to a high standard
  • Complete repairs in line with manufacturer and industry standards
  • Accurately complete job cards and repair documentation

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an MET Technician, Panel Technician, Panel Beater or Bodyshop Technician
  • Experience across both MET and panel repair work
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques
  • Experience working with accident-damaged vehicles
  • Good understanding of vehicle structures and repair methods
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant automotive/bodyshop qualifications are preferred
  • Full UK Driving Licence
