Metadata Specialist
Required Experience & Skills
Experience
- 5–8 years’ experience in metadata management, data governance, data engineering, or analytics engineering roles
- Demonstrated experience operating in enterprise-scale or government data environments
- Proven track record of implementing metadata practices within production data platforms
- Experience working within product-oriented or Data Factory operating models
- Experience supporting audit, compliance, or regulatory data requirements

- Strong understanding of:
- Data modeling principles
- ETL/ELT and orchestration patterns
- Lakehouse / data warehouse architectures
- Analytics and semantic layer design
- Experience embedding metadata into automated pipelines
- Proficiency with version control and collaborative development practices
- Working knowledge of Python or scripting for automation and validation
