Role Description
The Metal Fabricator will be responsible for cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding metal components for structural and architectural steel projects. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Interpreting technical drawings
- Measuring and marking out materials
- Operating hand and power tools
- Performing grinding and finishing work
- Ensuring fabricated items meet specifications and quality standards

The role involves:
- Collaborating with colleagues and supervisors to complete fabrication tasks
- Maintaining a safe and orderly workshop
- Assisting with loading and moving materials when required
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Coventry.
Qualifications
- Strong metalworking skills, including cutting, shaping, and assembling steel components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for fabrication and finishing tasks.
- Experience with grinding operations to prepare and finish welded and fabricated parts.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment (certification preferred).
- Previous experience in welding and steel fabrication in an industrial or construction environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including adherence to PPE and health and safety procedures.
- Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines.
- Relevant vocational training or apprenticeship in fabrication, welding, or a related field is an advantage.
