BAE Systems, is looking for experienced Steelworkers to join their growing team in Barrow on a 12-month contract. Whether you're local or willing to travel, you'll be part of a specialist crew working on the latest generation of submarines — including the Astute and Dreadnought projects. - Barrow Shift Patterns & Hourly Rate
- 3 on 4 off - £24.12 Local - £32.12ph Non-Local
- Night Shift - £26.73 Local - £34.73ph Non-Local
Holiday Pay can be paid in advance
Responsibilities
- Shipwright Work – Fabrication, assembly, and installation of steelwork, woodwork, and composite structures
- Rigging Duties – Inspect, test, and repair secondary lifting equipment; commission and install new gear
- Manufacturing Tasks – Pre-fabrication and production of steel structures and components

Requirements
- Recognised Metal Fabrication Apprenticeship
- Previous experience in marine, industrial, or Nuclear or Submarine environments preferred
- Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
