Metal Polisher

Temporary ongoing assignment

Leamington Spa

Days & Rotating Shifts

£15.13 - £16.86 per hour

Our client is a leading international manufacturing company based in Leamington Spa. They are looking for a Metal Polisher to join their existing team on a temporary ongoing basis.

Duties And Responsibilities Of The Metal Polisher

  • Perform polishing, grinding, deburring, and finishing of mild steel parts using tools such as files, sandpaper, polishing wheels, and grinders.
  • Inspect components for surface defects, burrs, and imperfections before and after polishing.
  • Ensure consistent surface finish and quality in line with technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Work to production schedules, meeting output and quality targets.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
  • Keep the work area clean and organised.
  • Report any defects, issues, or delays to the supervisor promptly.

The Ideal Metal Polisher

  • Previous experience in polishing, grinding, or finishing of mild steel or other metals
  • Knowledge of polishing and finishing techniques, including use of abrasives and hand tools.
  • Good attention to detail with a focus on high-quality workmanship.
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong manual dexterity and ability to work with hand tools and polishing equipment.
  • Awareness of health and safety requirements in a manufacturing environment.

39 hrs per week + possible overtime

Days

Mon-Thurs and on Friday (20-minute break)

Shifts rotating fortnightly

Monday to Thursday and on Friday and Monday to Thursday and on Friday (20 minutes break)

Pay rate

Days: £15.13

Shifts: £16.86
