£29,700 + overtime
Permanent position
Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 4.30pm
Adecco Workington are recruiting for a Metal Preparation Operative to join a well-established business in Carlisle on a permanent basis.
This is a hands-on role working as part of a busy production team, preparing and finishing metal components to a high standard. The role would suit someone who is practical, reliable, safety-conscious and looking for a long-term opportunity with training and development available.
The Role Will Involve
- Preparing, cleaning and deburring components
- Operating machinery and equipment, with full training provided
- Using tools and equipment such as drills, saws and tapping machines
- Working accurately to ensure parts are completed to the required standard
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day production duties

We Are Looking For Someone With
- Previous experience in a hands-on, production, workshop, engineering, metalwork or warehouse environment
- A good attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- A safety-first approach
- FLT licence would be an advantage, but is not essential
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
