We're Hiring | Metallurgist / Engineer | Birmingham (B8) | Up to £37,000
Coats Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our engineering and manufacturing client for an experienced Metallurgist / Engineer to join their team in Birmingham (B8). This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong metallurgical background who is looking for a varied role with real responsibility and the opportunity to make an impact.
The successful candidate will be involved in:
- Contract reviews and estimating
- Tooling, fixture and inductor design
- Process development and production planning
- Machine setting, operation and programming
- Quality inspections and technical reporting
- Customer and supplier liaison
- Equipment maintenance and continuous improvement
- Training and supporting production staff
- Supervisory responsibilities, including timesheets, attendance and temporary workforce management

We're looking for someone with:
- A metallurgical background
- Strong engineering knowledge
- Manufacturing or production engineering experience
- Previous supervisory experience (preferred)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
Salary: Up to £37,000, depending on experience.
