Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Buying material from suppliers
- Research and identify new market opportunities in the local market
- Contacting potential suppliers via email or phone to establish communication and set up meetings
- Negotiating with suppliers to secure the most attractive prices
- Managing supplier relationships
- Following up on the import/export operations
- Analyzing data to gain insights into how to improve performance and maximize growth
Qualifications & Competencies
- Experience in the Procurement or Sales, Metals
- Ability to develop relationships with current and potential business partners
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects
- Availability to travel within the UK for meetings with current and potential suppliers as well as for controlling the loadings
