What you will do
Johnson Controls is looking for a Metasys Controls & Commissioning Specialist to support Microsoft’s global portfolio of data centers and campuses.
In this global role, you’ll shape how controls and commissioning are delivered worldwide — setting standards, supporting regional teams, and solving complex technical challenges on high-profile sites.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning global standards, collaborating across regions, and being the go-to expert for Metasys commissioning.
How You Will Do It
- Develop, maintain, and improve global Metasys controls standards, including SOOs/DOOs, point lists, and programming templates.
- Create and govern commissioning documentation such as FPTs, checklists, and commissioning plans.
- Provide global commissioning support, including advanced troubleshooting and on-site assistance when required.
- Review engineering and commissioning packages to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment across regions.
- Work closely with Microsoft engineering teams, Johnson Controls delivery teams, and global stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
