Meter Read Transaction Specialist (37 hours per week, fixed term contract, maternity cover up to 12 months)
Location: Contractual base in Salvus House, Durham with hybrid working opportunities
Salary Range from: £26,634 plus a discretionary bonus potential of up to 8% of annual salary
Job Level: D
Reporting to: Metering Team Leader

THE ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
We are looking for a Meter Read Transaction Specialist who will be responsible for supporting our customers and colleagues with the validation of daily meter read data, identifying and correcting erroneous Metering data. You will be working within a busy Operational delivery team, resolving a wide range of issues within the Metering team.
WHAT WILL YOUR TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?
- Supporting the effective delivery of the meter read journey, making sure all systems align with market regulations.
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies, using problem solving skills and having an eye for detail.
- Resolving rejected market messages and investigating & correcting reads that have been rejected from the market.
- Contribute ideas and innovation to improve team processes and support in the implementation of continuous improvement.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- Experience in collating and understanding data from numerous sources
- Ability to build strong and collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders
- Proven experience of multi-tasking
- Exceptional organisational skills and ability to prioritise to meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to challenge and resolve data inconsistencies/anomalies
- Ability to record data accurately and communicate this verbally and in report formats
