We are currently recruiting for a Metering Technician in the following postcode SY1, SY2, SY3, SY4 and SY5

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Field Team as a Metering Technician.

This is a great role, that keeps you busy out and about in our communities.

This is a varied role that is responsible for carrying out a range of activities such as gathering meter readings and investigating customers billing queries. You’ll need to be able to speak confidently to customers and guide them if any technical issues arise. If you are used to dealing with customers and can adapt quickly to difficult situations, this is a plus!

You’ll need to be a good team player and share the ethos of striving to work in the best team environment you can. Having a full UK Driving License is required.

That’s right, set shifts and no weekends!

  • Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00am – 16:00pm
  • Tuesday and Thursday 8:00am – 15:45pm

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to think objectively to plan, prioritise and resolve work in the most effective way possible
  • The ability to work in a demanding target driven environment as part of a remote based team.
  • Confidence to review and discuss work carried out by contract partners and challenge quality and effectiveness of work where required.
  • Ability to manage jobs through until completion, share learnings with your team and deal with customer escalations and complaints where required.

You’ll need to be proactive and have the right attitude to work as you will be out on site most of the time.
