About The Role

Be part of this ‘once in a generation’ project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable, low-carbon electricity.

The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics, and Laing O’Rourke.

We are more than just an alliance; we are bringing together a single delivery organization with years of learning and experience from other major complex infrastructure programmes worldwide.

What you'll be doing

The purpose of the role is to support the development of optimized construction solutions for a wide range of complex and major complex infrastructure projects within transport and energy major projects during work winning and pre-construction delivery stages, by using knowledge and experience of design, construction methods, temporary works, planning/logistics, and project management.

This requires collaborative working with both the site team and the wider methods engineering team to support the development of construction methodology solutions. This is a newly formed and growing team that sits within the Technical Services department, with opportunities for development readily available.

This role is ideally suited to someone looking for a technically focused engineering role, which will allow them to develop their technical engineering knowledge further, whilst working on a range of exciting projects.

Previous construction project experience at Site Engineer / Section Engineer level (or equivalent) is preferred.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
