Vertu Accident Repair Centre Truro

Are you an experienced MET Technician looking to take the next step in your career with one of the UK's leading automotive retail and accident repair groups?

At Vertu Accident Repair Centre Truro, we are investing heavily in our facilities, technology and people. We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled MET Technician to join our growing team and work with state-of-the-art equipment, the latest repair technology and manufacturer-approved processes.

We are offering a £35,000 basic salary with an OTE of up to £50,000, depending on experience, along with an excellent benefits package and a 42.5-hour working week.

About The Role

As a MET Technician, you will play a vital role in the accident repair process, carrying out a wide range of mechanical, electrical and trim repairs to ensure vehicles are returned to customers in pre-accident condition.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) repair and replacement work
  • Removal and refitting of vehicle components
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
  • Working to manufacturer, industry and insurance standards
  • Ensuring all repairs are completed safely and efficiently within agreed timescales
  • Liaising with colleagues to ensure parts are ordered and available when required
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Delivering outstanding levels of customer satisfaction through quality repairs

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a MET Technician within a bodyshop or accident repair environment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality repairs
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment
  • A full UK driving licence
  • IMI accreditation or equivalent qualification (desirable)
