The basics:
Job Title: Metrology Engineer – Group Metrology / Group CMM Programmer
Environment: Manufacturing
Location: Derby / Hybrid – 2/3 days a week at the manufacturing plant based in Derby
Pay: up to £55,000
Hours: Mon to Thur 8am to 5pm and Fri - 8am to 1pm
Contracted hours: 40 per week
Holidays and Benefits: 33 days holiday, Xmas shut down, 5% pension, Annual Pay negotiated yearly by the Union.
Overview:
Working within a first class precision engineering manufacturing environment we now require a CMM Programmer to join the business and head up the Metrology department. As the CMM Programmer you will lead the decisions on the best way to measure and inspect the machined and fabricated components that the company manufacture. Regarding the programming the company are open to different software to which you will program offline. You will be the lead technical person onsite for all things associated to Metrology.

The ideal candidate / CMM Programmer:
- Previous experience offline programming
- Experienced with PC-DMIS software beneficial
- Exposure to automated inspection systems, laser scanners, CT, or non-contact metrology
