Role: Metrology Lead
Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: Day shifts
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum + Benefits
Location: Northampton
Are you an experienced Metrology Lead looking for your next challenge? If so, this opportunity cannot be missed! Our client, a leading engineering business, is recruiting for a Metrology Lead due to growth in the business.
Metrology Lead – Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of CMM Operators, Programmers and Metrology Technicians.
- Develop and prove CMM programmes, supporting inspection and measurement activities.
- Lead metrology investigations and support quality issues and corrective actions.
- Support NPI, first article inspections and measurement reporting.
- Drive accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement across the metrology function.

Metrology Lead - Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong CMM programming experience, ideally using Zeiss Calypso.
- Excellent knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with MSA, Gauge R&R and first-principles measurement.
- Background in precision manufacturing, with aerospace experience advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team.
