Student Achievement Team | Student Success Department
Are you passionate about helping other students succeed? Do you enjoy working with people and want to develop valuable leadership, communication and facilitation skills?
The Student Achievement Team is recruiting enthusiastic students to become PASS (Peer Assisted Study Support) Success Coaches.
As a PASS Success Coach, you'll work alongside students in Foundation and/or First Year to help them develop the academic skills, confidence and strategies they need to succeed at university.
You'll use your own experience as a successful London Met student to encourage discussion, share study strategies and help students engage with their learning.

What you'll do:
Your role will include some or all of the following:
- Facilitate engaging PASS study sessions.
- Support Foundation and First Year students.
- Encourage collaborative learning.
- Share effective study strategies.
- Signpost students to University support services.
What you won't do:
- Teach course content.
- Provide answers to coursework or assessments.
- Offer pastoral support.
Who can apply?
- Students who will be studying at Level 5, 6 or 7 in September 2026, or recent graduates (up to 18 months after course completion).
- Strong academic record holders (upper second-class honours of 60% or above).
Subject to meeting the above, we are keen to hear from those with excellent communication and interpersonal skills; who are reliable, approachable and enthusiastic.
Training
Successful applicants will receive PASS induction training; ongoing support from the Student Achievement Team; School-specific training where required; and access to PASS resources via WebLearn.

Appointment in the role would be until 31 July 2027 at a maximum of 5 hours per week.
