About the Role
As part of Royal Mail, you will be the public face of the company, delivering essential services to the community. Your responsibilities will include driving, collecting bulk mail from major customers, and transporting mail between Mail Centres and Delivery offices at prearranged times. You will also load and unload your van and sort mail for onward distribution.
About You
You should be upbeat and self-motivated, comfortable working both alone and as part of a team. A strong sense of community and the ability to work flexible shift patterns are important. You should enjoy being outdoors and appreciate the physical demands of the job. Some experience in a customer-facing role would be ideal.
Driving Licence Requirements
- A C1 Category licence (in your current UK address) with no more than 6 penalty points and no TT99 (totting up) endorsement.
- A Periodic Driver Certificate of Professional Competence qualification (CPC).
- A valid Drivers Qualification Card (DQC) with 35 hours of training.
- A Digital Tachograph Card.

Pay and Benefits
- Weekly pay, plus overtime and shift allowance if applicable.
- Salary: £646.75 per week pro rata.
- Permanent part-time contracts working 25 hours per week.
- Shift patterns including days, lates, and nights.
- Holiday entitlement starts at 22.5 days on entry, rising with length of service (pro-rata).
