Right now, we are looking for an MHCA Recovery Worker to play a pivotal role in our Mental Health Crisis Alternatives service in Hillingdon.
Sounds great, what will I be doing?
As the Recovery Worker, you will manage a caseload of individuals requiring early intervention and preventative mental health support, helping them improve their wellbeing and achieve positive outcomes. You will deliver group activities and structured programmes, clearly explain the service model, and support service users to actively participate in co-producing their support plans. Working in partnership with community mental health teams, social workers, housing providers, healthcare professionals, and employment services, you will promote engagement with wider support networks. You will monitor health, wellbeing, and safety, complete timely assessments and reviews, maintain accurate records, support colleagues, and contribute to the effective delivery and continuous improvement of the service.

In this role, you will need proven experience supporting individuals with mental health needs and dual diagnosis, underpinned by a strong understanding of recovery-focused practice, mental health legislation, and person-centred support. You will be skilled in building positive relationships, communicating effectively, and working collaboratively with statutory, voluntary, and community sector partners. Strong risk assessment, case management, safeguarding, and organisational skills are essential, alongside the ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively under pressure. You should be confident delivering groups, initiatives, and presentations, supporting the induction of staff and volunteers, and using IT systems effectively. Knowledge of local wellbeing services, excellent literacy and numeracy skills, and the ability to promote the organisation professionally are also important.
