The role requires the ability to effectively collaborate across Finance and the wider business to deliver, as part of a team, all statutory reporting for PIC Group, including year-end accounts and half year reports.

The role holder will also support the delivery of improvements to the year-end process as well as the monthly MI production.

The role requires the ability to solve problems and mitigate risks as they arise to ensure both a high quality and a timely delivery are achieved.

Our Company values are expected to be reflected in the delivery and performance of every role.

  • Responsible for a number of one-off or non-regular deliverables including change projects, ad-hoc requests and queries.
  • Responsible for improving the current processes, improving existing controls and enhancing the quality of the final outputs for key external and internal deliverables.
  • Supporting other members of the team as required in the production of statutory and regulatory reporting deliverables.
  • Building and maintaining a strong relationship with other teams within the firm both inside and outside Finance to ensure planning is done effectively and all viewpoints are properly incorporated.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
