Micro Space Planning Manager

London Hybrid

Currys London Campus at Waterloo

Permanent

Full Time

Grade 4

At Currys we’re united by one passion: to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. As one of the best-known retailers of tech, we’re proud of the service our customers receive – and it’s all down to our team of caring and committed colleagues. Join us and you’ll work in a great team where you can be yourself and bring your personality. Working as one team, we learn and grow together, celebrating the big and small moments that make every day amazing.

You'll sit within the Stores Transformation and Property function, reporting to the Micro Space planning manager. We connect the commercial agenda to the physical store — making sure planograms are executable, commercially sound and support the customer shopping experience at the shelf edge as well as being consistently delivered across the estate. We're a practical team that tests ideas in stores before rolling them out and takes real pride in the quality and consistency of what colleagues and customers experience.

Role Overview

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading and coordinating the micro space planning and VM team — allocating work in line with commercial priorities, managing capacity and making sure planogram and VM activity is delivered on time and right first time.
  • Making sure range reviews are adhered to across all stores, with clear accountability for delivery of commercial growth through Customer centric and operationally efficient planograms and VM packs.
  • Developing and improving merchandising solutions across categories — creating display, fixture and planogram approaches that are practical and executable in a busy retail environment, not just visually effective in isolation.
  • Spending regular time in stores to test and profile planogram changes before full rollout, making sure fixtures and planograms work in reality before they reach the wider estate.
  • Supporting change and development projects that require planogram and VM input, acting as the micro space planning workstream lead and making sure the visual merchandising dimension is properly scoped and delivered.
  • Supporting the Blue Yonder space planning project, providing VM expertise to make sure space planning decisions are informed by how planograms actually works in store.
  • Defining and maintaining Merchandising standards for the categories in scope, making sure they're clearly documented, communicated to store teams and consistently executed across the estate.
  • Ensure that all range events are delivered on time and meet the category strategies outlined whilst delivering improved shopping experience for customers and more operationally efficient fixtures for store colleagues
  • Managing and coaching a team of micro space planners and visual merchandisers ensuring that each person has SMART objectives and PDP that are relevant to themselves as well as generically across merchandising

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
