Microsoft 365 & Cloud Engineer

Birmingham – Hybrid (2DPW in office)
Up to £46,000

VIQU are partnering with a well-established organisation undergoing a significant Microsoft cloud transformation. They are seeking a Microsoft 365 & Cloud Engineer to play a key role in modernising their existing infrastructure and supporting the transition from a traditional on-premise environment towards a fully cloud-managed Microsoft estate. This is predominantly a project-focused position, requiring someone with hands-on experience implementing and improving Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID environments, rather than simply maintaining established services. Working within a small IT team, the successful candidate will have significant ownership and the opportunity to influence how the organisation's modern workplace and cloud environment develops.

Key Responsibilities of the Microsoft 365 & Cloud Engineer:

  • Support the ongoing migration from on-premise and hybrid infrastructure towards a fully cloud-managed Microsoft environment
  • Configure, develop and optimise Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and associated Modern Workplace technologies
  • Implement and improve endpoint and device management capabilities, including Windows Autopilot, configuration policies and compliance controls
  • Review the existing Microsoft environment, identifying areas for improvement and recommending appropriate technical solutions
  • Support the migration of users, devices and services away from legacy Active Directory, Exchange and Group Policy infrastructure
  • Contribute to security improvement initiatives including Cyber Essentials Plus, vulnerability management, Microsoft Defender and endpoint security
  • Support and improve Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint, Purview and wider collaboration and security capabilities
  • Assist with the management of remaining on-premise infrastructure during the organisation's transition to cloud
  • Work across project delivery and BAU activities within a small, collaborative IT function

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
