Microsoft 365 Senior Solutions Engineer | Intune & Endpoint
Oxford | Hybrid | Permanent | Up to £110K + 10% Bonus and other benefits
ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a senior, technically-led role combining approximately 50% hands-on technical delivery and 50% senior stakeholder engagement.
We are supporting an Internal technology function based in Oxford looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 professional to take ownership of technical solutions, projects and an ongoing Intune rollout, while working directly with senior business stakeholders across the organisation.
This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can design, implement, troubleshoot and improve Microsoft 365 solutions, while confidently translating business requirements into practical technical outcomes.
The successful candidate will bring strong technical depth, excellent communication skills and proven experience operating at a senior level across both technology delivery and stakeholder management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement and support Microsoft 365 solutions across the environment
- Take hands-on ownership of the Intune / Microsoft Endpoint Manager rollout and endpoint management strategy
- Work across Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Windows
- Own technical projects from requirements gathering through to successful delivery
- Engage directly with senior business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into appropriate technical solutions
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement
- Manage technical risks and contribute to project planning and delivery
- Work closely with Project Managers, IT teams and business users
- Contribute to technical backlog planning and deliver work with minimal supervision
- Develop and maintain SOPs, runbooks, knowledge articles and technical documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve the Microsoft 365 environment and employee experience
- Take ownership of Microsoft platforms and services, ensuring they remain reliable, secure and fit for purpose

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Microsoft 365 – Hands-on Technical Experience
- Strong, practical and demonstrable experience across Microsoft 365
- Strong experience with Entra ID
- Experience across Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Windows
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
- Ability to design, implement, support and improve Microsoft solutions
Intune & Endpoint
- Hands-on Intune / Microsoft Endpoint Manager experience is preferred; candidates with strong M365 or endpoint/infrastructure experience and the technical ability to quickly pick up Intune will also be considered
- Experience with endpoint management and modern workplace technologies
- Ability to contribute technically to an Intune rollout and ongoing endpoint strategy
Senior Stakeholder Management
- Proven experience working directly with senior business stakeholders
- Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into practical technical solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical and senior audiences
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
Project Delivery
- Proven experience delivering technical projects end-to-end
- Practical project management / project delivery experience
- Ability to manage technical requirements, risks, priorities and delivery timelines
- Experience working collaboratively with Project Managers and wider technology teams
- Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver with minimal supervision

Technical Background
- A strong technical foundation gained through Microsoft 365 administration, technical support, infrastructure or engineering
- Clear progression into senior technical and/or solutions-focused responsibilities
- Strong documentation and governance experience, including SOPs, runbooks and knowledge articles
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- PowerShell
- Microsoft Graph
- Azure
- Microsoft Defender
- Power Platform
- Microsoft Purview
- Networking fundamentals — DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, Wi-Fi and firewall concepts
- Azure DevOps / Git
- Terraform / OpenTofu
- CI/CD and DevOps tooling
- Relevant Microsoft certifications
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, SAP SuccessFactors or Dynamics 365
