We’re looking for a hands-on Microsoft AI Engineer to join a growing technology team and help build and roll out AI solutions across the business.
This is a proper engineering role rather than something focused purely on AI strategy or proof of concepts. You’ll be taking ideas from the business, working out how AI can genuinely solve the problem, and then building solutions that can be deployed and used in a live enterprise environment.
You’ll be working mainly across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure AI, Copilot and the wider Microsoft cloud stack.
What you’ll be doing
- Building AI applications, copilots, agents and automated workflows
- Developing solutions using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services and Copilot Studio
- Building RAG and enterprise search solutions using internal business data
- Connecting AI solutions into platforms such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dataverse and other business systems
- Working with APIs, connectors and Azure services to build integrations
- Developing and improving prompts, agent workflows and AI tooling
- Taking solutions through development, testing and into production
- Making sure solutions are secure, reliable and properly governed
- Monitoring live AI services and improving performance, accuracy and cost
- Working with technical teams and business users to identify where AI can actually add value

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
