About the Job

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Azure Senior Infrastructure Engineer who can combine deep cloud infrastructure expertise with end-to-end delivery management. You will lead engineering teams, manage client delivery and design secure, resilient and scalable Azure infrastructure solutions.

In this highly visible role, you will envision and design innovative solutions and services for Accenture’s enterprise clients. You act as their trusted advisor, taking ownership of the technical architecture within the solution from early-stage meetings through the delivery lifecycle.

As a Microsoft Azure Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

  • Design, implement and manage enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
  • Lead solutions across Azure networking, compute, storage, identity, security, monitoring and disaster recovery.
  • Work with Azure Virtual Networks, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Load Balancer, VPN/ExpressRoute, Azure VMs and Storage.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep and/or ARM templates.
  • Drive automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI and DevOps practices.
  • Manage Azure migrations, infrastructure modernisation and hybrid-cloud solutions.
  • Own end-to-end delivery including planning, estimation, scope, risks, dependencies, quality and timelines.
  • Lead and mentor infrastructure/cloud engineering teams.
  • Work closely with architects, clients and senior stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.
  • Drive Agile delivery, technical governance, operational readiness and service transition.
  • Support solution shaping, proposals and cloud transformation initiatives.

What Will Make You Successful in This Role

  • Experience of infrastructure/cloud engineering experience with strong Microsoft Azure expertise.
  • Experience on hybrid cloud, in addition to knowledge with on-prem infrastructure design.
  • Strong hands-on experience across Azure infrastructure, networking, security and hybrid cloud.
  • Proficiency in Terraform/Bicep, PowerShell, Azure DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Experience with Azure governance, monitoring, backup, resilience and disaster recovery.
  • Proven experience managing technical delivery and engineering teams.
  • Strong project governance, Agile and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and leadership capabilities.
  • Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications are desirable.

What Will Set You Apart

  • Certification: AZ-305 - advanced experience and knowledge of IT operations, including networking, virtualization, identity, security, business continuity, disaster recovery, data platforms, and governance.
