Microsoft Cloud Consultant

Role Overview

Are you passionate about transforming businesses through technology? As a Microsoft Cloud Consultant, you will be at the forefront of digital transformation, guiding clients as they navigate the exciting landscape of Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Azure.

Your expertise will empower organisations to shift from repetitive manual processes to innovative, scalable solutions driven by AI. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, including C-level executives, to deliver impactful advisory and solution-led engagements. Get ready to conduct environment health checks and ensure that our clients align with Microsoft’s best practices in governance, security, and data protection.

Responsibilities

  • Transform Environments: Conduct comprehensive environment health checks to uncover gaps in governance, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver Insights: Produce clear, structured health check reports with prioritised remediation recommendations to drive actionable change.
  • Shape Solutions: Gather and refine client requirements, translating them into effective solution designs that enhance governance.
  • Innovate: Design and deliver solutions from proof of concept (POC) through to production, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Lead Governance: Establish and enhance Power Platform governance models aligned with Microsoft standards to foster growth.
  • Advocate for Adoption: Enable Copilot adoption by ensuring data, security, and governance readiness within client organisations.
  • Build Relationships: Effectively manage stakeholders and nurture strong client relationships to secure buy-in for governance improvements and best practices.
  • Guide Teams: Provide clear guidance and guardrails to support delivery teams and developers in achieving high-quality outcomes.
  • Drive Transformation: Contribute to broader digital transformation initiatives while delivering exceptional results for strategic clients.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Power Platform Expertise: Strong understanding of governance best practices, environment strategy, platform administration, and oversight of solutions and automation (e.g., Copilot Studio) in enterprise environments.
  • Microsoft 365 Mastery: Deep knowledge of governance, security, and compliance, including tenant configuration and policy management.
  • Health Check Experience: Proven experience conducting environment health checks and governance assessments across Power Platform and Microsoft 365.
  • Data Protection Know-how: Strong knowledge of DLP policies and identity management, including Entra ID.
  • Governance Frameworks: Experience defining and implementing effective governance frameworks enhancing lifecycle management and controls.
  • Copilot Readiness: Understanding of Copilot readiness, configuration, and governance considerations to support client needs.
  • Licensing Insight: Strong grasp of Microsoft licensing models, particularly Power Platform and Copilot, enabling optimal configuration advice.
  • Effective Communicator: Ability to produce clear, structured reports with risk assessments and actionable remediation plans.
  • Workshop Facilitation: Demonstrated ability to lead workshops and discovery sessions with senior stakeholders to gather requirements and drive alignment.
  • Opportunity Developer: Proven track record of identifying and developing additional opportunities to support account growth.

Desirable Skills

  • Practical understanding of SharePoint, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric, including data architecture and reporting considerations.
  • Experience implementing the Power Platform CoE Toolkit to align with best practices.
  • Knowledge of enterprise governance models and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR).
  • Familiarity with ALM, CI/CD, and DevOps practices within Power Platform environments.
