Microsoft 365 Consultant
London - Hybrid
Up to £80,000 DOE
Are you an experienced Microsoft 365 professional looking for a role where you can combine technical expertise, consultancy and genuine customer impact?
We’re working with a highly established technology consultancy that has been delivering IT solutions to leading organisations for more than 30 years.
With a strong focus on the Microsoft cloud ecosystem, security and modern workplace technology, the business works with sophisticated clients across professional and financial services, helping them navigate complex technology challenges and deliver secure, well-governed solutions. They’re now looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 Consultant to join their Professional Services team.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys being both technically hands-on and customer-facing. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their challenges, shape the right solutions and take ownership of delivery from initial discovery through to implementation and operational handover.
The role
Your work will span the full project lifecycle, including:
- Leading customer discovery sessions, workshops, assessments and technical demonstrations.
- Designing, implementing and optimising Microsoft 365 solutions across Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access, Teams, SharePoint and Exchange.
- Producing high- and low-level designs aligned to security, governance, compliance and operational best practice.
- Taking ownership of technical delivery from discovery and design through to build, testing, deployment and handover.
- Working closely with Project Managers to manage technical scope, risks, dependencies, timelines and change.
- Supporting presales activity, including technical scoping, solution design and effort estimation.
- Helping customers adopt and strengthen Zero Trust and Microsoft security principles.
- Configuring and optimising Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls in a controlled and auditable way.
- Acting as a technical escalation point for complex issues.
- Supporting and mentoring other consultants and engineers.
- Developing technical standards, reusable designs and best-practice approaches.
- Producing clear, high-quality technical and handover documentation.
- Supporting knowledge transfer and ensuring a smooth transition into managed services or operational support.
- Identifying opportunities to improve automation, standardisation and delivery efficiency.

What we're looking for
You’ll have experience working within an MSP or consultancy, along with a strong track record of delivering Microsoft 365 projects.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong hands-on experience across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange and Conditional Access.
- Experience delivering customer-facing projects from discovery through to implementation and handover.
- A solid understanding of Microsoft security, governance, compliance and controlled technical change.
- Experience designing solutions based on business and technical requirements.
- The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical recommendations.
- Strong customer and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing scope, risks, dependencies and changing requirements.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- A structured, organised approach and strong attention to detail.
- A genuine interest in Microsoft’s evolving cloud and security technologies.

About you:
This role would suit someone who enjoys variety and wants to play a meaningful role in customer engagements.
You’ll be confident leading technical conversations, comfortable working with senior stakeholders and capable of making sound recommendations based on both technical and commercial considerations.
