About You
You are a motivated and adaptable professional with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for using technology to solve real-world problems. With strong communication skills and a consultative approach, you’re comfortable engaging with clients, understanding their needs, and translating them into effective outcomes.
The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced .NET Microsoft Consultant to join our team. The role will focus primarily on designing, developing, implementing, and supporting .NET-based applications and solutions, while also working across the wider Microsoft technology stack.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on.NET development experience, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the communication skills required to work directly with clients and business stakeholders. Experience with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, VBA, Crystal Reports, and Word macros will complement the core.NET skill set and enable the successful candidate to deliver broader business solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain robust .NET applications and solutions.
- Develop scalable and maintainable solutions using C#,.NET /.NET Core /.NET 6+ and related Microsoft technologies.
- Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Work with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical guidance, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and integration issues.
- Develop and integrate APIs and services with existing business applications and systems.
- Contribute to application architecture, technical design, development standards, and best practices.
- Perform code reviews and ensure solutions are secure, reliable, maintainable, and fit for purpose.
- Work across the wider Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, where appropriate.
- Develop automation and business solutions using VBA, particularly within Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Create, maintain, and enhance Word macros to automate document production and business processes.
- Develop and maintain business reports using Crystal Reports where required.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing applications, processes, and systems through modern Microsoft technologies.
- Produce technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams.
- Manage multiple projects or workstreams while maintaining a high standard of delivery.
- Keep up to date with developments in the.NET and Microsoft technology ecosystem.
Key Skills
- Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET.
- Experience developing applications using ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core.
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles.
- Experience developing and consuming REST APIs / web services.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and coding best practices.
- Experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, optimise, and maintain existing.NET applications.
- Experience with source control such as Git.
- Understanding of application architecture, integration, security, and performance.
- Good experience with Microsoft 365 (M365).
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Experience developing VBA solutions, particularly Excel automation.
- Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Word macros and document automation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based solutions would be advantageous.

- Experience with Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience with Power BI, Dataverse, SharePoint, or Teams.
- Microsoft certifications.
- Previous experience in a client-facing consultancy environment.
