Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Specialist – Contractor
Overview
CTA are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Specialist to provide independent technical expertise and delivery support on a short-term contract.
The successful candidate will review the current Business Central solution, assess outstanding requirements and UAT findings, and provide clear recommendations on the work required to achieve a robust, fit-for-purpose solution. Following the initial assessment, there may be an opportunity to support or lead the configuration and development work required to address any identified gaps.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a detailed review of the existing Business Central solution, configuration and UAT findings.
- Assess outstanding requirements, issues and solution gaps.
- Provide an independent technical assessment of the current solution and proposed approach.
- Review and challenge existing technical recommendations, estimates and proposed remediation activity where appropriate.
- Identify the configuration, development and process changes required to address outstanding issues.
- Produce clear assessment and design documentation outlining recommended solutions.
- Provide realistic estimates for the effort, timescales and resources required to complete the outstanding work.
- Advise on the most appropriate technical and delivery approach for progressing the project.
- Subject to the outcome of the initial review, potentially undertake or lead Business Central configuration and development activity.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and third-party delivery teams.

About You
We are looking for a senior Business Central practitioner with:
- Strong hands-on experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations.
- A strong understanding of Business Central configuration, development and solution architecture.
- Experience reviewing and resolving complex implementation issues and project gaps.
- Experience working across warehouse, logistics, inventory or operational environments.
- The ability to independently assess an existing solution and provide objective technical recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working alongside implementation partners and challenging existing technical approaches where required.
- The ability to quickly understand an existing Business Central environment and identify practical, achievable solutions.
