D365 F&O Functional Consultant | Financial Services | London
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 + benefits
A leading financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) Functional Consultant to join its technology and finance function. This is a key role responsible for the ongoing optimisation, enhancement and functional support of the D365 F&O platform, acting as the critical link between Finance, Operations, IT and third-party technology partners.
The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience across D365 F&O functional configuration, requirements gathering, process improvement and stakeholder management, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical ERP solutions.
The Role
As the D365 F&O Functional Consultant, you will:
- Act as the functional SME for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Work closely with Finance, Operations and IT stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
- Configure, enhance and optimise D365 F&O modules in line with evolving business requirements.
- Lead requirements workshops, process mapping sessions and functional design activities.
- Produce functional specifications, process documentation and solution designs.
- Support D365 F&O upgrades, releases, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate UAT, including test scenarios, scripts, defect management and business sign-off.
- Work with technical teams and third-party partners on integrations, data migration and system improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate finance and operational processes.

Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a D365 F&O Functional Consultant, D365 Finance & Operations Consultant or ERP Functional Consultant.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Experience with functional configuration, functional design and system optimisation.
- Strong understanding of Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain and/or Operations processes.
- Proven experience gathering and translating business requirements into functional solutions.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and process mapping sessions.
- Strong understanding of UAT, testing, system enhancements and change delivery.
- Experience working with technical teams, developers and third-party implementation partners.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable Experience
- Experience within Financial Services or another highly regulated environment.
- Exposure to OneStream, Hyperion or other financial consolidation/EPM platforms.
- Experience with Power BI and financial/reporting solutions.
- Knowledge of ERP integrations, APIs and data migration.
- Experience with ERP implementation methodologies and full project lifecycles.
- Microsoft Dynamics certifications.
- Finance or accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.

- £80,000 - £100,000 base salary, depending on experience
