What will you do?
OPENLANE is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics Developer to join our team in Chester, England. This key role provides software development expertise for the delivery and execution of OPENLANE Remarketing Ltd Microsoft BC/NAV activities. In this role, you will work with experts in a variety of fields and other BC/NAV software developers in building digital automotive remarketing products.
Activities include validating technical requirements, scoping, planning and designing to ensure suitable solutions.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience with automobile remarketing, Microsoft Dynamics NAV or Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, cloud computing, as well as proven experience as a software developer.
Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Be the Senior Developer responsible for the smooth running of BC/NAV systems and devs
- Full lifecycle application development
- Designing, coding and debugging applications in Business Central and/or Dynamics NAV
- Uphold use of best practice design & code patterns
- Code reviews
- Coach and mentor junior team members
- Investigate, analyse and document reported defects
- Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified defects
- Work closely with the business
- Translate business requirements into working systems
- Create, document, and implement unit test plans, scripts, and test harnesses
- Create and maintain technical documentation using defined technical documentation templates
- Evaluate, identify and select appropriate new technologies for implementation
Must haves:
- 2+ years BC/NAV development experience in a commercial environment
- 2+ years GIT experience
- Excellent C/Side or AL skills
- Excellent understanding of core BC/NAV modules
- Systems integration experience via RESTful and/or SOAP services
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to speak with the business
Desirable skills:
- Cloud Technologies (Azure and/or AWS)
- CI/CD pipeline
- PowerShell
- Azure DevOps
- Salesforce
- .NET
- NAV/BC performance tuning
- Experience of using verticals such as Jet Analytics
- Best practice code & architectural patterns
- Commercial experience within the motor industry

At OPENLANE Europe, pay is determined based on role impact, experience, skills and internal fairness. In addition to the base salary, our package includes:
- Company bonus
- Comprehensive benefits package depending on the country of employment
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
- Only roles that can be performed from an alternative work location are eligible for occasional remote work. In that case, working from home is allowed for up to a maximum of two days
