A leading Microsoft Partner Consultancy is looking for an experienced Microsoft Endpoint Engineer to support a major engineering and defence end customer, working onsite 5 days per week.
The role will focus on the build, configuration and rollout of Windows laptops, using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot as the core endpoint management and deployment technologies. The successful candidate will also provide Level 3 (L3) troubleshooting, resolving complex endpoint, deployment and device-management issues.
This is a hands-on engineering position suited to someone with strong experience delivering Microsoft modern workplace and endpoint solutions within large, secure enterprise environments.
You will be required onsite 5 days per week at the customer offices
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the design, build and deployment of Windows laptop images and configurations
- Configure and manage devices through Microsoft Intune
- Build, configure and troubleshoot Windows Autopilot deployment profiles
- Support large-scale laptop rollout and device refresh programmes
- Configure applications, policies, security settings and device compliance through Intune
- Troubleshoot failed or problematic Autopilot deployments
- Provide L3 technical support for complex Windows endpoint issues
- Diagnose issues across device configuration, applications, policies, identity and connectivity
- Support device enrolment, provisioning and lifecycle management
- Work closely with infrastructure, security, service desk and engineering teams
- Ensure endpoint configurations meet the standards required within a security-conscious engineering and defence environment
- Produce technical documentation, deployment procedures and troubleshooting guides
- Support continuous improvement of endpoint deployment and management processes

Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years' experience working within Microsoft endpoint / EUC engineering environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune
- Strong hands-on experience with Windows Autopilot
- Experience with Windows 10/11 laptop builds, provisioning and rollout
- Experience delivering large-scale endpoint deployment or refresh programmes
- Strong L3 troubleshooting capability
- Experience troubleshooting Intune policies, device enrolment and Autopilot deployments
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD and modern device management
- Experience with application deployment and configuration through Intune
- Understanding of endpoint security, compliance and configuration policies
- Strong PowerShell skills would be highly beneficial
- Experience working within complex enterprise environments

This is an Inside IR35 Contract role working via Umbrella Company so you must be resident in the UK to be considered for this role, and you must be able to commit to 5 days per week onsite with the customer.
