Microsoft Fabric Data Architect

Robert Half is supporting a client in the search for an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Architect to join a growing Data & AI function delivering enterprise-scale transformation programmes. This is a highly client-facing consulting role suited to individuals with a strong consulting background who can combine deep technical expertise with stakeholder management, solution architecture, and strategic advisory. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping organisations shape enterprise data strategies, modernise data platforms, and build scalable foundations for AI, analytics, and business intelligence.

Assignment Details

  • Initial 6-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
  • Location: London / Hybrid (1-2 days per week in the City)
  • Daily Rate: £700-750 per day via umbrella
  • ASAP start with fast-track onboarding

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client-facing Microsoft Fabric architecture engagements from discovery through to delivery
  • Define enterprise data platform strategies and architecture roadmaps aligned to business and AI objectives
  • Design and implement modern data platform architectures using Microsoft Fabric
  • Drive data modelling, integration, and governance standards
  • Provide technical leadership across data engineering, analytics, and reporting teams
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, supporting workshops and solution design

Required Experience

  • Strong consulting background within a recognised consulting firm
  • Proven experience designing and delivering Microsoft Fabric solutions at enterprise scale
  • Experience implementing Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers)
  • Strong understanding of data engineering, data modelling, and platform architecture
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise data architecture in complex environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing advisory experience
  • Experience bridging business strategy and technical delivery

This opportunity would suit an experienced Microsoft Fabric consultant or Data Architect who combines strong technical capability with consulting and stakeholder management experience, and is comfortable leading enterprise data transformation initiatives from strategy through delivery.
