Microsoft Fabric Specialist - London / Bracknell / Birmingham / Leeds / Manchester / Livingston

Hybrid - SCC Flex Contract

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Fabric Specialist to support the delivery of enterprise-wide data and analytics initiatives across a complex technology landscape. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Microsoft Fabric Specialist to join a high-profile client programme, driving the design, implementation, and optimisation of modern data platforms that enable business intelligence, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision making.

The successful Microsoft Fabric Specialist will play a critical role in delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing Microsoft Fabric solutions while supporting wider digital transformation and data modernisation programmes.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support Microsoft Fabric solutions across enterprise environments.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data architectures, data pipelines, and analytics platforms using Microsoft Fabric capabilities.
  • Build and optimise data integration, transformation, and orchestration processes across multiple data sources.
  • Deliver solutions leveraging Fabric components including Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Data Science, Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, architects, and reporting teams to define and deliver data requirements.
  • Support the migration and modernisation of existing data platforms into Microsoft Fabric.
  • Design and implement robust data governance, security, and compliance controls.
  • Ensure data solutions are scalable, resilient, performant, and aligned with organisational standards.
  • Develop and optimise semantic models, datasets, and reporting solutions to support business intelligence requirements.
  • Monitor platform performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimisation and enhancement.
  • Support data strategy initiatives and contribute to long-term analytics roadmaps.
  • Provide technical leadership and best-practice guidance across Microsoft Fabric technologies and services.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and operational procedures.

Requirements

As a successful Microsoft Fabric Specialist, you will have:

  • Proven experience working as a Microsoft Fabric Specialist, Data Platform Engineer, Data Architect, or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions within Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience across key Fabric workloads including Data Factory, Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data architecture principles.
  • Experience developing and optimising data pipelines using Spark, SQL, and Fabric-native capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Experience migrating legacy or existing analytics environments to Microsoft Fabric.
  • Understanding of data governance, security, privacy, and compliance best practices.
  • Experience integrating structured and unstructured data from a variety of enterprise sources.
  • Strong Power BI development and reporting experience, including semantic models and dashboard optimisation.
  • Knowledge of data lake, lakehouse, and warehouse architectures.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working within large-scale enterprise transformation programmes is highly desirable.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications in Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data, or Data Engineering are advantageous.
