About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Full Stack Senior Developer who combines strong hands-on engineering expertise with end-to-end technical delivery leadership. You will lead engineering teams, shape solution design, make pragmatic technology decisions and remain close enough to the code to assure quality and unblock delivery.
In this highly visible role, you will work with clients, architects, product owners and multidisciplinary delivery teams from early discovery and estimation through build, release and live service. You will act as a trusted technical adviser, translating business outcomes and non-functional requirements into maintainable, secure and commercially viable solutions on Microsoft Azure.
About Us
Accenture offers a unique opportunity for impact and career growth. In AMBG, you will work within a global community of Microsoft specialists, helping enterprise clients realise value from Microsoft cloud, data, AI and business application technologies.
In our team, you will:
-
Engineering and Architecture
- Lead the design and hands-on development of enterprise applications using C#,.NET, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs and modern distributed application patterns.
- Design responsive, accessible front-end experiences using React and/or Angular, TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
- Define solution structure, engineering standards, reusable patterns and technical guardrails, working in alignment with enterprise architecture.
- Decompose business needs into services, APIs, domain models and delivery increments, documenting key architecture decisions and trade-offs.
- Design for performance, resilience, scalability, maintainability, interoperability and cost efficiency.
-
Azure Cloud Engineering
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure, selecting appropriate compute, integration, data, identity, security and observability services.
- Apply infrastructure as code and automated environment provisioning using Bicep and/or Terraform.
- Implement secure identity and access patterns using Microsoft Entra ID, managed identities, role-based access control and secrets management.
- Design data access and integration using Azure SQL/SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, RESTful APIs, messaging and event-driven patterns where appropriate.
-
DevSecOps and Engineering Quality
- Own source-control, branching, pull-request, code-review and release practices using GitHub and/or Azure DevOps.
- Build and govern CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Azure Pipelines, including automated quality, security and deployment controls.
- Champion automated testing across unit, integration, contract, UI, performance and security testing, with measurable quality gates.
- Embed secure-by-design practices including threat modelling, dependency and secret scanning, secure coding, vulnerability remediation and software supply-chain controls.
- Establish application telemetry, logging, tracing, alerting and operational dashboards; support incident resolution, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools, including GitHub Copilot, responsibly and in line with client security, privacy, intellectual-property and code-review requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

-
Technical Delivery and Leadership
- Own end-to-end technical delivery including discovery, planning, estimation, scope, dependencies, risks, quality, release readiness and transition to support.
- Lead and mentor developers through pairing, design reviews, code reviews and constructive technical feedback; create an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture.
- Coordinate technical work across onshore, nearshore and offshore teams, ensuring clear ownership, engineering consistency and transparent progress.
- Partner with architects, product owners, security, operations and client stakeholders to resolve trade-offs and communicate technical decisions clearly.
- Drive Agile delivery ceremonies where appropriate, while maintaining focus on engineering outcomes rather than process administration.
- Support production services through operability reviews, support-model definition, knowledge transfer and service acceptance.
-
Client and Commercial Contribution
- Contribute to solution shaping, technical discovery, proposals, estimates, delivery plans, assumptions and statements of work.
- Present solution options, risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, adapting communication for engineering teams and senior decision-makers.
- Identify opportunities for reusable assets, accelerators and engineering improvements that increase delivery quality and client value.
Requirements
We are looking for significant experience in:
- Extensive software engineering experience, including recent hands-on delivery using the Microsoft technology stack.

- Strong commercial experience with React and/or Angular and TypeScript, including component design, state management, accessibility and front-end testing.
- Hands-on Azure application development experience across relevant compute, integration, data, identity, security and monitoring services.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, domain-driven design, API-first design, microservices and modular monolith patterns, with the judgement to select an appropriate approach.
- Practical experience with SQL Server/Azure SQL, Entity Framework Core, data modelling and query/performance optimisation.
- Strong Git and GitHub engineering practices, including pull requests, branch protection, code ownership, GitHub Actions and repository governance.
- Experience implementing CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability and secure software development lifecycle controls.
- Good working knowledge of containers and container orchestration, including Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service or equivalent Azure container services.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and assuring delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Experience of estimation, technical planning, dependency management, risk management, release governance and live-service transition.
- Excellent client-facing communication, facilitation and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to explain technical trade-offs in business terms.
- Ability to work effectively in Agile, product and multidisciplinary delivery environments.
