About the Company

Our client is a well-established and growing technology solutions provider that helps organisations maximise the value of their Microsoft technologies. Working with clients across both public and private sectors, they deliver expertise across cloud, security, modern workplace, data, and digital transformation solutions.

About the Role

They are now looking for a Microsoft Licensing Specialist to join their commercial team and play a key role in helping customers optimise their Microsoft investments, identify opportunities for growth, and navigate Microsoft's evolving licensing landscape.

Responsibilities

Microsoft Licensing Expertise

  • Provide expert advice on Microsoft 365 and NCE licensing.
  • Support customers with licensing optimisation and cost management.
  • Guide organisations through licensing changes and renewals.
  • Stay up to date with Microsoft product, pricing, and licensing developments.

Business Development

  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across Microsoft solutions.
  • Support growth initiatives around Microsoft 365, Security, Azure, and related services.
  • Work with sales teams to help convert opportunities into revenue.
  • Assist in uncovering wider technology and consultancy opportunities.

Customer Success

  • Build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Support account reviews and customer planning sessions.
  • Align licensing recommendations to wider business and technology objectives.
  • Deliver a consultative approach to customer engagements.

Partner Engagement

  • Collaborate with Microsoft and internal teams on joint opportunities.
  • Support co-sell activities and strategic account growth plans.
  • Share licensing knowledge with sales and account management teams.
  • Contribute to internal training and enablement initiatives.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience working with Microsoft licensing in a CSP, MSP, reseller, or Microsoft partner environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 licensing models.
  • Understanding of NCE (New Commerce Experience).
  • Proven ability to identify commercial growth opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and consultative approach.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Azure licensing and consumption models.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft co-sell opportunities.
  • Understanding of Windows Server and SQL licensing.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-900.
  • Experience supporting strategic account planning or customer reviews.
