Job Description
The Microsoft Lifecycle Specialist owns the operational administration of Wavenet’s Microsoft customer estate from accepted order through provisioning, in-life changes, renewal and offboarding. The role manages Microsoft licensing, tenant and partner records, renewal governance, incentives, programme administration, reporting and lifecycle exceptions.
The role sits within Solutions and Strategy and is primarily internal-facing. It works alongside Microsoft Growth & Success and other internal teams but does not own customer success, sales or ongoing account relationships. Limited customer interaction may be required to resolve specific provisioning, tenant, licensing or administrative matters.
Primary Accountability
Own the operational governance of Wavenet’s Microsoft customer estate from receipt of an accepted fulfilment instruction through onboarding, provisioning, in-life administration, renewal and offboarding.
Responsibilities Include:
-
Customer Onboarding & Tenant Administration
- Accept validated fulfilment instructions from the Orders Desk and execute onboarding tasks.
- Establish and maintain accurate customer tenant, ownership, partner-association and delegated-administration records.
- Support approved tenant changes, migrations, mergers and acquisitions.
-
Licensing Lifecycle Management
- Provision Microsoft licences and subscriptions following validated instructions from the Orders Desk.
- Administer approved additions, changes, renewals, reductions and cancellations.
- Maintain accurate subscription records and communicate completed changes to billing and finance.
- Investigate licensing or billing discrepancies using accurate lifecycle records.
- Analyse estate and usage data to provide licensing optimisation and white-space insights to Customer Success Managers and Account Managers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
