As a team:
Accenture offers a unique opportunity for impact and career growth. In AMBG you will be part of a unique joint venture with Microsoft of over 80,000 professionals, 20 times Microsoft Global SI Partner of the Year, and recognised as a leader across categories including AI and Business Applications by analysts including Everest Group, Forrester, and IDC.
We offer our clients a complete partnership at every stage of their transformation journey - from defining strategy through delivery of technology and into managed service or outcome-based offerings.
Microsoft Power Platform is at the forefront of enterprise low-code transformation, enabling organisations to automate processes, build intelligent applications, and unlock insights at scale. This is a high-growth area for the Accenture Microsoft Business Group (AMBG), accelerated by the convergence of Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, and Dataverse - and the increasing demand for robust, governed, and AI-augmented solutions in complex enterprise environments.
As a Microsoft Power Platform Consultant you will:
- Design and build enterprise-grade solutions across the full Power Platform stack - Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Pages - delivering scalable, performant applications that meet complex client business and technical requirements.
- Develop reusable components, custom connectors, and PCF (Power Apps Component Framework) controls to extend native Power Platform capabilities and maintain a consistent, high-quality user experience across client solutions.
- Architect and implement Dataverse data models, including table design, relationships, business rules, plug-ins, and security roles, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise data governance standards.
- Build and govern integrations between Power Platform and D365, Azure services (API Management, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus), and Microsoft 365 services using REST, OData, and custom connector patterns.
- Apply Power Fx expertise across canvas app development, including complex formula authoring, delegation handling, and performance optimisation techniques to deliver responsive, production-grade applications.
- Establish and enforce ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) best practices including source control, solution segmentation, environment strategy, pipeline automation (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions), and managed solution deployment across development, test, and production environments.
- Implement and maintain Power Platform governance frameworks including Centre of Excellence (CoE) Toolkit configuration, DLP (Data Loss Prevention) policy design, environment provisioning standards, and maker enablement programmes.
- Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic data models using DAX and Power Query, integrating with Dataverse, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and other enterprise data sources to deliver actionable business insights.
- Collaborate with architects, functional consultants, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs, participate in solution reviews, and ensure delivery quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support junior developers and makers within the team through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing, contributing to capability development across the Power Platform practice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
