About the Role
This is not a typical early-career role. Most people starting their careers spend years working towards exposure to senior customers, major technology partners, strategic decision-making and the inner workings of a technology business.
This role is different. We are looking for an exceptional, ambitious individual to work directly alongside CyberOne's Microsoft Practice Director, effectively becoming their professional shadow.
You will be given an unusually broad view of the business from the beginning of your career. You will join customer meetings, technical discussions, executive briefings, presales engagements, innovation sessions, service-development conversations, partner meetings, seminars and industry events.
You won't be expected to know how to do all of this on day one. In fact, we don't expect you to.
Initially, your job is to observe, learn, ask questions, get involved and absorb as much as possible. As your knowledge, experience and confidence develop, you will move from observing these activities to contributing to them, and ultimately to performing many of them yourself, with the Microsoft Practice Director supporting you in the background.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Shadow the Microsoft Practice Director across a broad range of technical, strategic, and customer-facing activities.
- Attend and participate in customer meetings, executive briefings, partner engagements, seminars, webinars, conferences, and industry events.
- Support and progressively contribute to technical presales engagements, customer workshops, and solution discussions.
- Research customers, technologies, industry trends, and emerging market opportunities to support business development activities.
- Assist in understanding customer challenges and translating business requirements into potential technology and cybersecurity solutions.
- Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, Statements of Work (SOWs), and customer-facing documentation.
- Present CyberOne's capabilities, services, and value propositions to customers and prospects as experience develops.
- Develop knowledge and expertise across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft 365, and emerging Microsoft technologies.
- Participate in service development and innovation initiatives alongside CyberOne's technical specialists and leadership team.
- Research emerging cybersecurity trends, Microsoft technologies, AI advancements, and industry best practices.
- Contribute ideas towards new services, intellectual property, technology capabilities, and business opportunities.
- Support the development of technical thought leadership content, presentations, webinars, and industry speaking engagements.
- Work closely with Microsoft and other strategic technology partners to understand and promote CyberOne's capabilities.
- Travel to customer sites, CyberOne offices, partner facilities, conferences, and industry events when required.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning, development, and continuous professional growth.

- Ability and willingness to travel within the UK and internationally when required.

Desirable Skills & Experience
- Degree qualification in a STEM-related subject or equivalent practical experience.
- Awareness of Microsoft technologies, cloud computing, cybersecurity, or AI technologies.
- Previous experience in customer-facing, presentation, consulting, sales, support, or technology-related roles.
- Interest in public speaking, technical presentations, or thought leadership activities.
- Understanding of the Microsoft Cloud and Security ecosystem.
- Interest in developing a future career in cybersecurity, solution architecture, presales, consulting, innovation, or technical leadership.
