Senior Microsoft Purview Compliance Consultant
Remote (UK)
£65,000 - £75,000 + Benefits
A key client of mine, a growing consultancy specialising in Microsoft technologies, is looking to appoint an experienced Microsoft Purview Compliance Consultant to join its expanding security and governance practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant who is passionate about data protection, information governance, compliance, and AI readiness. You'll work with a broad range of organisations, helping them design and implement governance and compliance solutions across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
The Role
You'll act as a trusted advisor to customers, delivering strategic guidance and hands-on implementation of Microsoft Purview solutions. Working closely with technical and business stakeholders, you'll help organisations strengthen their compliance posture, manage information risk, and prepare for the safe adoption of AI technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and delivering Microsoft Purview solutions
- Leading customer workshops and technical discovery sessions
- Implementing data protection and information governance controls
- Configuring retention policies, records management, and lifecycle management solutions
- Deploying Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities
- Implementing sensitivity labelling and data classification strategies
- Delivering eDiscovery, audit, and compliance solutions
- Supporting organisations with AI governance and Microsoft Copilot readiness initiatives
- Producing high-quality technical documentation and solution designs
- Providing strategic compliance and governance recommendations to customers

What We're Looking For

- Sensitivity Labels
- eDiscovery
- Insider Risk Management
- Microsoft 365 Security Technologies
You'll also ideally have:
- Previous experience in a consultancy or customer-facing environment
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 projects
Desirable Experience
Any experience with the following would be advantageous:
- Microsoft Copilot readiness assessments
- AI Governance frameworks
- Microsoft Defender
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Microsoft Entra ID
- PowerShell automation
- Regulatory compliance projects
- Security and governance architecture
