DevOps/Platform Engineer
Our client is looking for a DevOps/Platform Engineer to join their team on a 3 month Contract, with the option to be fully remote within the UK. Our client are a fast growing business who are focused on creating a greener future. This individual will be to support their Platform team and wider Technology function with routine Infrastructure support and implementation activities.
The company are moving to an AI-executed engineering model, and you will be responsible for maintaining and securing their cloud platform. There will be a mixture of greenfield AI workloads, alongside established services they are already modernising, including.NET framework - taking an automation first and AI first approach to delivery and designing efficient, cloud solutions with security considered throughout.

- Design, build and support secure, scalable highly available and cost optimised cloud infrastructure, implemented through Infrastructure as Code.
- Apply and improve platform engineering standards and infrastructure patterns, ensuring Infrastructure as Code is version controlled, tested and governed in accordance with their ways of working
- Help them on their journey towards AI-first, and enrich their automation first continual delivery capability, including creation and management of CI/CD pipelines
- Build and manage services on Kubernetes (Azure), including container configuration, Helm charts, whilst managing cloud compute, storage and networking.
- Work DevSecOps style, build security in by design and on a cost-conscious basis.
Essential Skills
- ~4+ year in DevOps and cloud native infrastructure with a focus on Azure (DevOps)
- Proficiency in Terraform for IAC, plus YAML and ARM templates
- Expertise in Kubernetes (Azure)
- Experience with the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
- Strong scripting and Automation skills (Powershell, Bash, Python, YAML)
- Working knowledge of cloud security and DevSecOps practices and tooling
- Working knowledge of .NET workloads
- Familiarity with Linux based operating systems
- Experience designing, building and supporting CI/CD pipelines
- Cost conscious engineering and FinOps awareness
- Experience operating in an AI-assisted or AI executed software delivery model, with strong judgement for supervising and integrating AI generated work.
